You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position performs professional work directly related to coordinating the planning organizing scheduling and facilitation of various aspects of the emergency management programs; assists the Emergency Manager to foster whole-community preparedness and achieve an effective emergency management response to disasters and other incidents; facilitates training and public education for City staff and residents. Work is conducted in accordance with federal state and local statutes professional administrative and legal standards and general policies as established by the Emergency Manager and Director of Administration.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR...
Possess and retain a valid state drivers license throughout tenure of employment without impending loss at time of appointment.
NOTE: This position will be required to be fingerprinted and complete the CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) Security Certification Test to be allowed to view sensitive information and have unescorted access while at the Police Department (per Washington State Patrol ACCESS unit).
Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) CERT trainer credentials FEMA or equivalent ICS 300 and 400 FEMA EM Professional Development Series CPR/First Aid Instructor Project Management certifications and/or amateur (ham) radio license are highly desirable
Documented experience working in an EOC Incident Command Post or other Incident Command System organization during an incident
