Job Summary

Avista is a progressive organisation providing a wide range of services including Day Residential and Respite supports to both Children and Adults in various locations across 3 Regions. The Children and Young Peoples Service within Avista provide interdisciplinary team supports residential family support and education services to 0-18 year old Children and Young People with complex needs and their families. This post is being recruited for our three Childrens Disability Network Teams: Blakestown Blanchardstown and Cabra.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST MANAGER

TEMPORARY (12 MONTHS) FULL -TIME CONTRACT (35 Hours Per Week).

CHILDRENS SERVICES DUBLIN

Salary: 77044 -92491

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
  • Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in occupational therapy with significant pediatric/childrens disability experience
  • Proven management or leadership experience in healthcare or disability services
  • Strong knowledge of childrens disability services and multidisciplinary team working
  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to successfully manage deadlines and teams. A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Experience in providing Clinical Supervision

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in management leadership or specialized pediatric occupational therapy
  • Experience working within Childrens Disability Network Teams or similar integrated service models
  • Knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to childrens disability services
  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives and clinical pathway development
