We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Production Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our extrusion and polymer compounding process production facility. This individual will be responsible for Managing overall operations and be responsible for the effective and successful performance against established EHS quality service and cost metrics for the Operations Department while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. The operations manager will enhance the operational procedures and look for opportunities to optimize performance and reduce costs
Management Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities per the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Reports to Site Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The top responsibility of this role is ensuring employee safety.
- Collaborate with site leadership to create a world class safety culture.
- Ensure operations team adheres to site company and regulatory EHS requirements.
- Lead operational excellence in areas of EHS quality service and productivity.
- Drive operational discipline through consistent adherence and accountability to policies and procedures by the production team
- Recruit and manage job performance of direct reports which will include production supervisors and other support positions.
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production productivity quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively.
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience including resolving problems and complaints.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with other site and company leadership to ensure prioritization of customer service and business alignment.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in engineering field is preferred or relevant leadership role experience in the plastics industry perferred
- Minimum of seven years manufacturing experience
- Minimum of three years in a manufacturing leadership role such as production supervisor
Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership to motivate and produce results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong team skills as well as ability to contribute individually within a team
- Knowledge of operations management and ERP systems
- Ability to plan and execute strategically for short- and medium-term objectives
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
Salary Range: $100000-$145000
