This posting does not necessarily reflect a current open position. This temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through March 2026 at which point all applications will be cleared from the pool. Applicants will be welcome to apply to future pools after that date.
Lecturer in Career & Professional Development
What you will do:
Lecturers selected from this pool will teach Career & Professional Development classes in the Business School at CU Denver. Lecturers selected may also be assigned to teach varying one-credit courses to include Professional Selling and more. Duties include delivery of tailored instruction to a variety of language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes preparing for each class ahead of time with balanced rigorous lesson plans assessing student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes and adhering to program policies and procedures by reporting student offenses (plagiarism cheating absences etc.).
Classes taught will be at either the undergraduate or graduate level and will generally be limited to one-credit or three-credit hours. Lecturers teaching these classes will instruct in either one or multiple teaching modalities (in-person online-remote or hybrid).

Conditions of Employment
Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required. This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office as needed based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Salary and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $5535 to $6000 depending upon course level. The salary range for Lecturers selected to teach one-credit courses (or who co-teach a three-credit course) is established at $2767 to $3000 depending on course level.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
As a part-time teaching role this position is not eligible for overtime nor benefits. Information on University benefits programs including eligibility is located at Employee Services.
