Do you love helping patients see and feel their best while also enjoying style fashion and the science of optics AtClarendon Vision Advanced Eyecare were looking for an enthusiastic Optician to join our team and bring their expertise to a specialty practice thats changing lives.
Located in Westmont IL just 20 miles from downtown Chicago our practice goes beyond routine care. We specialize in Neuro-Optometry Low Vision Sports Vision Training Vision Therapy Myopia Management Pediatric Optometry and Dry Eye Servicesand youll play a central role in helping patients complete their journey with the perfect eyewear solution.

What Youll Do
- Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet both style and prescription needs.
- Verify and process optical orders ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Educate patients on lens options including specialty lenses for myopia management and neuro-optometry.
- Navigate insurance benefits with clarity and confidence for patients.
- Maintain frame boards and manage vendor relationships to keep our optical gallery fresh and on-trend.
- Adjust and repair eyewear for comfort function and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the clinical and therapy teams to provide seamless care across departments.
- Participate in continuing education and stay up to date on new trends in optical and lens technology.
What Were Looking For
- At least 23 years of experience as an Optician (ABO Certification preferred not required).
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping patients.
- Sales experience and the ability to recommend eyewear solutions with confidence.
- Computer literacy and attention to detail with EMR/optical software.
- A professional approachable and team-focused demeanor.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays (shorter hours).
