Job Summary

Experienced in Elastic Engineer to design deploy manage and optimize our Elastic Stack infrastructure. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to support log analytics observability monitoring and search capabilities across our environments.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design deploy and maintain Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana Beats) solutions.
• Develop and manage data pipelines for ingesting logs and metrics using Logstash Filebeat and other ingestion tools.
• Optimize and tune Elasticsearch clusters for performance scalability and high availability.
• Develop visualizations and dashboards in Kibana for operational and business stakeholders.
• Implement monitoring alerting and reporting based on data indexed into Elasticsearch.
• Integrate Elastic with other tools (e.g. Kafka Grafana).
• Maintain security and access controls using Elasticsearchs security features (roles TLS encryption).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform Ansible or similar tools.
• Work with Security or DevOps teams on SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) use cases if applicable.
• Stay up to date on Elastic Stack features and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong experience (5 years) working with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana Beats).
• Experience designing and managing Elasticsearch clusters in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Elasticsearch query DSL indexing and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with data ingestion tools such as Logstash Filebeat etc.
• Proficiency with Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform Chef).
• Familiarity with monitoring alerting and dashboards in Kibana.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure) and managed Elastic services (e.g. Elastic Cloud).
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
