Maintenance Equipment Engineer

Company Background:

Our client is a well-established technology manufacturer specializing in magnetic solutions and injection molding products. The company offers end-to-end services from design and R&D to mass production supporting global customers through integrated manufacturing and engineering capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement equipment management policies standards and procedures; monitor execution and continuously improve effectiveness.

• Establish and maintain complete equipment technical documentation including SOPs equipment registers preventive maintenance plans and repair records.

• Support installation commissioning acceptance improvement modification and safety management of production equipment.

• Analyze troubleshoot and resolve production equipment failures to ensure stable operation.

• Manage spare parts and consumables including inventory control (6S) stocktaking purchase requests and acceptance.

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment.

• Drive and participate in the introduction of production automation equipment.

• Provide frontline technical support for equipment selection improvement and R&D activities.

• Assist Finance in fixed asset management and equipment inventory audits.

Fixture & Tooling Management

• Establish and maintain tooling/fixture management standards SOPs maintenance plans and repair records.

• Manage tooling spare parts and perform preventive maintenance.

• Lead tooling improvement and modification projects to enhance efficiency and reduce tooling cost.

Production & Site Support

• Support production by identifying design or process risks preparing analysis reports and coordinating corrective actions.

• Assist in continuous improvement of processes equipment upgrades and technology enhancement.

• Support implementation and improvement of 6S EHS and JHA activities.

• Evaluate design and support fabrication of auxiliary equipment and tooling.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.

• Hands-on experience in mechanical equipment operations and maintenance; fresh graduates or candidates with 1 year of relevant experience are welcome.

• Strong knowledge of equipment and fixture management processes; capable of troubleshooting equipment and handling unexpected breakdowns.

• Familiar with electromechanical systems tooling/fixture concepts and basic equipment control or program software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office SolidWorks and CAD software.

• Proficient in English Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (as need to liaise with Mandarin speaker clients)

• Strong communication coordination problem-solving execution and continuous learning capabilities; able to work independently and under pressure.

Salary Range: RM6k - RM10k
