Job Title: Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner FT Nights
Work Arrangement: On-site in-person
Country: United States of America

Salary Range: $135200 $147680 (USD)
Confidential Details: Additional information available during hiring process
Differential: 8% geographical differential for Texas Medical Center
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours) rotating weekends & holidays no call

This Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner role is based at the Texas Medical Center and is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through systemic assessment diagnosis treatment management and follow-up. Patient populations include VV/VA ECMO Mechanical Circulatory Support Heart & Lung Transplants LVAD and post-op cardiac surgery.
Credentialing: 23 months
Training: Full device training provided

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in alignment with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and Memorial Hermann Standards of Care.
Manage critically ill cardiac patients including advanced devices and transplant populations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and continuity of care.
Participate in the Professional Nurse Advancement Program.
Maintain reliable attendance and contribute to a culture of excellence and compassion.
Qualifications
Must-Haves
Education/Certification:
oAGACNP (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) required
oCurrent Texas nursing license
oBoard certification (ANCC AANP or AACN Acute Care NP)
oBLS & ACLS certifications
Experience:
oMinimum 2 years of RN or NP experience in Critical Care/ICU
oCardiology or cardiac care experience preferred
oNew NPs must have 2 years of ICU RN experience
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with heart failure population
Prior Acute Care NP experience
Cardiovascular & Heart Failure ICU RN background
