The Ōtaki to North Levin project focuses on upgrading the transport link along State Highway 1 (SH1) between Ōtaki and North Levin to improve road safety reduce congestion enhance travel efficiency and support regional economic growth. It is one of the Governments Roads of National Significance and is being undertaken by two Alliances the north (delivered by partners Fulton Hogan HEB WSP and Aurecon) and south (delivered by partners Downer McConnell Dowell Beca and TonkinTaylor).

This exciting new four-lane 24.8km highway project will dramatically improve safety and resilience providing better access to walking and cycling facilities for those moving around or through the Horowhenua and Kāpiti districts. The project includes multiple large complex bridge structures plus a full interchange at Taraua Road a half interchange north at Taylors Road two roundabouts and approximately 4m m3 of complex earthworks significant drainage infrastructure and a structural asphalt concrete pavement.

In partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi Muaūpoko Tribal Authority local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga and the Horowhenua District Council this project will be executed through a two-alliance approach. Each alliance will be responsible for delivering a section of the road and associated works ensuring a collaborative and comprehensive delivery.

As a Site Traffic Management Specialist (STMS) you will implement and supervise temporary traffic management on various worksites. You will ensure traffic management standards are met to ensure safety on our sites.

In addition to the above you will:

• Supervise temporary traffic management on various worksites in line with current codes of practice
• Look after the safety of yourself and people around you push pause when needed
• Completing appropriate documentation such as RCPs EDJRs daily on shift
• Setting TTM in accordance to the NZGTTM guidelines
• Effective communication with the work site foreperson to ensure smooth operation
• Complete all training required for temporary traffic management
• Identify and eliminate hazards as per hazard identification sheet
• Youll also contribute in any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested

Were looking for someone with:

• CAT A/N Practicing STMS qualification
• Full Class 1 licence minimum Class 2 Licence preferred
• Traffic control specification
• Experience in traffic management
• Experience directing and leading others
