MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT TEMPORARY POSITIONS
Type: On Site Temporary Position Edmonton AB
We are currently seeking friendly and organized Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) to join various healthcare teams in Edmonton on a temporary basis. These opportunities offer exposure to different medical settings including clinics and specialty offices with flexible assignment lengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors providing a welcoming first point of contact
- Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patience are and follow up appointments
- Maintain and update patient records both electronic and paper
- Prepare billing and insurance claims
- Support healthcare staff with administrative and clerical duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a medical/office administrative role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Knowledge of HealthQuest EMR Ava Connect Care or other medical software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly professional demeanor
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software
- Ability to multitask prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Team-oriented mindset; willingness to assist with various duties in a collaborative small team environment.
