MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT TEMPORARY POSITIONS

Type: On Site Temporary Position Edmonton AB

We are currently seeking friendly and organized Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) to join various healthcare teams in Edmonton on a temporary basis. These opportunities offer exposure to different medical settings including clinics and specialty offices with flexible assignment lengths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors providing a welcoming first point of contact
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patience are and follow up appointments
  • Maintain and update patient records both electronic and paper
  • Prepare billing and insurance claims
  • Support healthcare staff with administrative and clerical duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a medical/office administrative role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Knowledge of HealthQuest EMR Ava Connect Care or other medical software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly professional demeanor
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Team-oriented mindset; willingness to assist with various duties in a collaborative small team environment.
