We are seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to join a Portfolio Governance team within a leading financial institution. This team plays a critical role in managing contract reviews Statements of Work (SOWs) GRs and vendor engagements. The successful candidate will support backend development work on the platform that houses these requests while also contributing to reporting and stakeholder communications.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented adaptable and thrives in a collaborative environment. The analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders present findings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Builds various reporting dashboards using the most appropriate data extraction data cleaning and data visualisation techniques.
Provides value through insights reporting and data visualization techniques. Selects configures and implements analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.
Researches and applies continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
Works with different teams management and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions deployed in the organization.
Translates business needs to technical specifications and evaluates existing data visualization systems in order to improve them.
Develops data visualizations of large amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers.
Documents data flow systems and processes to improve the design implementation and management of business/group processes.
Develops tools and delivers training programs for use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences.
Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader enterprise-wide focus.
Exercises judgment to identify diagnose and solve problems within given rules.
Works independently on a range of complex tasks which may include unique situations.

34 years of Business Analyst experience ideally in BAU (Business As Usual) environments.
Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
Experience with any of the following tools: Excel Power BI SharePoint. PowerPoint.
Insights design.
Strong presentation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Insights development and reporting.
Collaboration & team skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Data driven decision making.
Nice to Have Skills/Experience:
Working knowledge of SQL(to support the teams sole developer)
Background in business managementor exposure to different industries
Experience supporting platform developmentor backend systems
Familiarity with portfolio governanceor enterprise banking environments

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location skills experience education and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
