Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on an as-needed this role you will assist Occupational Therapists in providing therapeutic interventions to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities enhance mobility and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises functional activities and adaptive techniques to improve daily living skills.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
- Monitor and document patient progress reporting any changes to the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to patient care.
- Adhere to ethical professional and compliance standards in occupational therapy services.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri.
- Certification: NBCOT certification (preferred).
- Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication interpersonal and patient-care skills.
- Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).

- PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling.

- Requires adaptability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a care team.
