Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Architecture
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy for the warehouse aligning with broader supply chain and corporate goals.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies standards and procedures specific to warehouse data domains (e.g. inventory shipments receipts put-away picking).
- Define and monitor key data quality metrics (e.g. accuracy completeness timeliness) and implement corrective actions.
Technical Execution & Operations
- Oversee the development maintenance and optimization of complex ETL/ELT processes to ensure accurate and timely data ingestion from diverse source systems.
- Ensure the highest levels of data quality performance availability and security of the data warehouse environment.
- Establish and enforce standards for data modeling coding metadata management and documentation.
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
- Collaborate closely with business leaders data analysts and data scientists to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business on the capabilities and best use of the data warehouse for reporting and advanced analytics.
- Manage vendor relationships related to data warehouse technologies and services.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead mentor and grow a high-performing team of data engineers architects and BI developers.
- Manage team resources project priorities and workload allocation for both ongoing maintenance and new development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement innovation and operational excellence within the team.
Governance & Compliance
- Implement and enforce data governance policies within the warehouse working with Data Governance committees.
- Ensure compliance with data security privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA) and internal audit controls.
