Job Summary

Position Summary

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of material and product inventory to ensure accuracy efficiency and compliance with company policies. This role manages the receiving tracking and distribution of raw materials work-in-progress and finished goods across multiple warehouses and production areas. The Inventory Manager will lead physical inventories cycle counts and reconciliation processes while also maintaining accurate records of material movements. This position serves as the central point of contact for resolving discrepancies monitoring stock levels and collaborating with Purchasing Production and Logistics to support operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving process including verification of materials against purchase orders documentation of discrepancies and coordination with Purchasing for resolution.
  • Oversee unloading and storage of deliveries ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Direct and participate in physical inventories cycle counts audits and reconciliation processes to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Track and monitor material flow from raw goods through production to finished products identifying and resolving variances or schedule changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of product movements between warehouses and production areas including inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Develop and maintain inventory reports ensuring accuracy and timely communication with leadership.
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency reduce waste and minimize discrepancies.
  • Provide training and oversight to warehouse or production staff on inventory-related processes.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • US citizen or US person status required due to ITAR restrictions.
  • 2 years of inventory management or related experience required; supervisory experience a plus.
  • Forklift certification/experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 5060 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory control shipping receiving and logistics practices.
  • Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required; working knowledge of SAGE 100 ERP strongly preferred.
