Fabricator/Welder
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: 35000 - 38000
Hours: Mon Fri 8:00am 4:30pm
Driving licence required
About the Role
Syntech Recruitment are on the lookout for multiple TIG Welders/Fabricators to join their growing and dynamic team.
This is a hands-on workshop-based role with a diverse mix of TIG welding sheet metal fabrication bending laser cutting and reading technical drawings. If youre someone who thrives on variety and takes pride in top-quality craftsmanship this is your perfect next step.
Fabricator/Welder Duties:
TIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel components
Occasional MIG welding (advantageous but not essential)
Operating bending machines to form sheet metal accurately
Using laser cutters to prepare materials as per spec
Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings
Fabricating and assembling bespoke equipment for the food and process industries
Carrying out basic mechanical fitting and troubleshooting
Fabricator/Welder Requirements:
Strong TIG welding skills (essential)
Previous experience in bending and laser cutting
Confident working from engineering and fabrication drawings
MIG welding and general fabrication skills (preferred)
Mechanical assembly and fitting capability
A full UK driving licence
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook
