We are now hiring for our site in Peterborough:
Job Purpose:
To weld and fabricate various parts according to engineering drawings contributing to our reputation for excellence in the food industry. This role is ideal for an individual with a recognized engineering apprenticeship and a strong foundation in welding and fabrication techniques.
Main Duties:
- Welding and Fabrication:Weld and manufacture large and small fabrications to a high standard within specified timeframes using MIG TIG and MMA processes.
- Material Handling:Work with mild and stainless-steel components ensuring precision and quality in all fabrications.
- Engineering Drawings:Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Health & Safety:Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures maintaining a safe work environment.
- Team Collaboration:Work effectively within a team environment offering improvement ideas and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship in a relevant field (e.g. fabrication welding) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MIG TIG and MMA welding processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to quality and a methodical approach to tasks.
- High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
