Job Description
The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for a variety of research and legal matters as well as supporting the business from a compliance standpoint.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Daily Administrative duties pertaining to the Legal/Compliance team
Reviewing monitoring and summarizing new and updated laws and regulations
Researching and analyzing law sources such as federal and state statutes and regulations
Supporting with regulatory filings
Assisting with managing company policies and procedures
Assisting with Legal/Compliance trainings
Performing clerical duties such as scheduling meetings and composing and typing routine correspondence
Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors and Law Degree
Have experience performing legal research
Have a commitment to continuous business improvement
Be capable of working closely with internal clients and outside counsel
Have effective planning organizational and project management skills
Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Have excellent written and communication skills
Have the ability to work independently
Have critical thinking analytical and problem solving skills
Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environment
