A Day in the Life
As a process Engineer youll play a key role in designing and enhancing production processes for advanced medical devices. Additionally youll have the opportunity to work hands-on with high-tech automated manufacturing technologies such as laser cutting laser welding assembly and (optical) measurement systems. Overall youll be involved in the evolution of production processes throughout all stages of product maturityfrom initial concept through to market launch.You are a smart eager and result driven engineer who thinks in terms of solutions rather than problems. You present your ideas convincingly and to the point. Collaboration is in your nature and you value different opinions and perspectives. You have strong analytical skills and you are capable of suggesting out-of-the-box solutions. You show a strong sense of ownership.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Design and enhance production processes for advanced medical devices
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Drive world-class product manufacturability by developing and optimizing processes using Lean Six Sigma methodologies with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency and consistency
- Assess and improve product manufacturability by building and testing prototypes as well as collaborating on product design modifications
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Masters degree in mechanical engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- Mastering the Dutch & English language
- Hands-on mentality ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Preferably lean six sigma qualified (green belt or black belt)
