Job Position Summary | - Shall be reporting to ASTI Head for AVSEC Training and Development
- shall ensure the development and implementation of training programmes and Avsec certification system in accordance with the National Civil Aviation Security Programmes.
- Ensure regulatory compliance trained manpower Assist ASTI Head/CSO in budgeting and cost controls.

Key responsibilities | - Persons developing and/ or conducting aviation security training shall possess the necessary certification knowledge and experience as prescribed in relevant Annexure of NCASTP.
- To conduct Aviation security training & emergency procedure training (theory & Practical) for all SNV Aviation Ltd staff
- Ensure well trained competent qualified and efficient Ground staff Security staff Cabin & Cockpit crew at all times
- Conversant with all relevant AVSEC Orders/Circular of the BCAS
- Records/ documents shall be maintained till its existence digitally/ electronic form. Details of training records to be maintained as per NCASTP
- Responsible for using the most appropriate training aids to enable students under their control to learn effectively.
- He/She shall ensure time to time accreditation of Aviation Security Training Institutions (ASTI) from by DG BCAS.
- He/She shall ensure that all required training basic and recurrent is completed as required for aviation security personnel and shall further ensure to check this aspect on a regular basis such as through frequent inspection of training records of staff performing security controls.
- Shall ensure that the supporting resources and facilities required to be available at ASTI. These shall include the human material and financial resources. Sufficient financial budget allocation shall be made to meet NCASTP compliance.
- He/ She shall ensure an ongoing internal training programme including initial and refresher training supplements formal training courses and assures that staff remain current.
- Ensure that Security awareness training reaches all elements at all levels thus promoting individual responsibility for security through constant vigilance and cooperation with other employees particularly those in positions of responsibility.
- Ensure that personnel are properly instructed and trained in the application of modern security practices and equipment.
- Shall ensure consistent and uniform approach to the teaching of aviation security subject.
- Coordinate with stations for the training requirements and other on the Job training classes for Security staff Screener and Crew
- Pre-pare training notes and handouts well in advance for various courses
- Training coordination with other ASTI BCAS & OAL
Administrative responsibilities: - To give inputs to prepare AVSEC Training planning and control security training budget
- Give inputs for training requirements
- Updating of Civil Aviation Security Training Programme/manuals and local procedures
- Ensure regular information exchange training MIS with regulatory body to meet the compliance as per NCASTP
- In absence of ASTI Head will be responsible to drive ASTI head functions

Desired Qualification / certifications | - Graduate in any discipline.
- Ø Instructors responsible for development and conduct of AVSEC training programme shall be certified by the DG BCAS subject to the fulfilment of the qualifications and experience in the field as under:-
(a) Graduate from a recognized university. (b) Aviation security instructors skill capable of conducting Aviation Security courses based on Standardized Training Packages i.e. material as well as instructor based. (c) Instructor must possess Subject Matter Expertise (SMEs) covering all the aspects and parameters of Aviation Security. (d) Instructors shall be required to have aviation security experience appropriate for the job criteria. |
Preferred relevant work experience | Persons developing and/or conducting aviation security training should possess the necessary certification knowledge and experience. At a minimum this should include: - 6 to 8 years of aviation security experience of which minimum 2 years in managerial grade handling ASTI.
- Certified Instructor course by BCAS / International organization recognized by the Appropriate Authority;
- Extensive knowledge of and experience of minimum five years in aviation security operations; and
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
International regional and national aviation security regulations; Security systems and access control; Ground and in-flight security; Pre-boarding screening; Baggage and cargo security; Aircraft security and searches; Restricted articles and prohibited items; Emergency procedures; An overview of terrorism; and Other areas and measures to enhance security awareness |
