Job Title:Security Manager - Training

JobSummary:

• Shall ensure the development and implementation of training program and Avsec certification system in accordance with the National Civil Aviation Security Program
• EnsureregulatorycompliancetrainedmanpowerAssistASTIHead/CSOinbudgetingandcostcontrols.

KeyResponsibilities:

1. Personsdevelopingand/orconductingaviationsecuritytrainingshallpossessthenecessarycertificationknowledgeandexperienceasprescribedinrelevantAnnexureofNCASTP.
2. ToconductAviationsecuritytraining&emergencyproceduretraining(theory&Practical)forallSNVAviationLtdstaff
3. EnsurewelltrainedcompetentqualifiedandefficientGroundstaffSecuritystaffCabin&Cockpitcrewatalltimes
4. ConversantwithallrelevantAVSECOrders/CircularoftheBCAS
5. Records/documentsshallbemaintainedtillitsexistencedigitally/
6. Responsibleforusingthemostappropriatetrainingaidstoenablestudentsundertheircontroltolearneffectively.
7. He/She shall ensure time to time accreditation of Aviation Security Training Institutions (ASTI) from by DG BCAS.
8. He/Sheshallensurethatallrequiredtrainingbasicandrecurrentiscompletedasrequiredforaviationsecuritypersonnelandshallfurtherensuretocheckthisaspectonaregularbasissuchasthroughfrequentinspectionoftrainingrecordsofstaffperformingsecuritycontrols.

10. He/Sheshallensureanongoinginternaltrainingprogrammeincludinginitialandrefreshertrainingsupplementsformaltrainingcoursesandassuresthatstaffremaincurrent.
11. EnsurethatSecurityawarenesstrainingreachesallelementsatalllevelsthuspromotingindividualresponsibilityforsecuritythroughconstantvigilanceandcooperationwithotheremployeesparticularlythoseinpositionsofresponsibility.
12. Ensurethatpersonnelareproperlyinstructedandtrainedintheapplicationofmodernsecuritypracticesandequipment.
13. Shallensureconsistentanduniformapproachtotheteachingofaviationsecuritysubject.
14. CoordinatewithstationsforthetrainingrequirementsandotherontheJobtrainingclassesforSecuritystaffScreenerandCrew
15. Pre-paretrainingnotesandhandoutswellinadvanceforvariouscourses
16. TrainingcoordinationwithotherASTIBCAS&OAL

Administrativeresponsibilities:

• TogiveinputstoprepareAVSECTrainingplanningandcontrolsecuritytrainingbudget
• Giveinputsfortrainingrequirements
• UpdatingofCivilAviationSecurityTrainingProgramme/manualsandlocalprocedures
• EnsureregularinformationexchangetrainingMISwithregulatorybodytomeetthecomplianceasperNCASTP
• InabsenceofASTIHeadwillberesponsibletodriveASTIheadfunctions

Required Skills & Experience:

1. 10 to 12 years of aviation security experience of which minimum 2 years in managerial grade handling ASTI.
2. CertifiedAvsecInstructor/ValidAVSECInstructorCertification
3. Extensiveknowledgeofandexperienceofminimumfiveyearsinaviationsecurityoperations;and
4. Knowledgeinoneormoreofthefollowingareas:

• Internationalregionalandnationalaviationsecurityregulations.
• Securitysystemsandaccesscontrol.
• Groundandin-flightsecurity.
• Pre-boardingscreening.
• Baggageandcargosecurity.
• Aircraftsecurityandsearches.
• Restrictedarticlesandprohibiteditems.
• Emergencyprocedures&anoverviewofterrorism;andotherareasandmeasurestoenhancesecurityawareness

Goodtohave:

• CertifiedAvsecInstructor/ValidAVSECInstructorCertification
• InstructormustpossessSubjectMatterExpertise(SMEs)coveringalltheaspectsandparametersofAviationSecurity.
• Instructorsshallberequiredtohaveaviationsecurityexperienceappropriateforthejobcriteria.
• Allregulatoryrequirementknowledge(NCASPNCASQCPNCASTPNCASCPDGRetc.)
• Computerskills.
• ShouldbeabletocommunicatewithICAOandEU

Educational Qualification:

Graduatefromarecognizeduniversity.
