Position: EU Energy Efficiency and Environmental Regulations and Standards Expert
Background: Amid the ongoing refinement of EU energy efficiency and environmental regulations compliance requirements for consumer electronics are undergoing progressive elevation. As the Energy Efficiency and Environmental Expert in the Standardization and Industry Development European Consumer BG Team responsible for providing insights into European energy efficiency and environmental policies and coordinating industrial technology roadmaps facilitating the mutual promotion of technological innovation and business practices in the process of sustainable development. By gaining in-depth insights into policy and regulatory dynamics providing forward-looking analysis and formulating response strategies ensure that the companys products comply with the latest EU energy efficiency and environmental entry standards facilitate the smooth market entry of Consumer BG products into the European market and continuously lead and drive Huaweis compliance and technological innovation in the EU energy efficiency and environmental sector.
Position Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze the latest developments in European energy efficiency and environmental regulations anticipate the impact of policy changes on Consumer BG products and proactively plan response strategies. Ensure that the evolution of regulations aligns with product development trends to support the market entry of relevant products (wearables tablets smartphones etc.).
- Collaborate with industry partners coordinate industry opinions to form a neutral technical stance and promote a balance between EU policies and actual product requirements through collective advocacy.
- Participate in EU standardization technical committees and industry meetings submit companys technical proposals contribute to and drive the standardization process incorporate the companys product technical features and promote the development of compliance standards.
- As a standards expert in the energy efficiency and environmental sector of the EU standardization organization (CEN/CLC) participate in the development of relevant standards reflect reasonable technical demands and promote Consumer BG technology preparedness.
Position Requirements:
- With over 10 years of experience in policy insights and standardization work in the EU energy efficiency and environmental sector familiar with EU regulations related to the circular economy (such as ESPR WEEE Directive PPWR etc.) and standardization processes with extensive experience in regulatory interpretation and developing response strategies.
- Possess practical experience in participating in EU industry associations coordinating and driving multilateral policies.
- Familiar with the operations of relevant standardization organizations in the EU energy efficiency and environmental sector with successful experience in participating in CEN/CLC standard development.
- Possess excellent policy analysis and risk identification skills with the ability to write high-quality policy insight reports.
- Possess expertise skills and experience in consumer-facing products particularly in consumer electronics.
- English is the working language.
