As we continue to grow were investing in our finance operations. This position offers the opportunity to be part of that transformation-contributing directly to improved systems better reporting and smarter decision-making across the organization.

The Opportunity

Were hiring a Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant at our Otsego MN headquarters (100% onsite) to join our growing finance team. This role will be instrumental in strengthening internal accounting operations especially as we expand and implement a new ERP system. Youll support day-to-day accounting activities assist with month-end close and reporting and help improve systems and controls. Youll also collaborate cross-functionally across AP AR and Payroll contributing to a stronger more integrated financial foundation.

This position is non-supervisory to start but offers a path toward increased ownership visibility and impact. Over time youll take ownership of key workflows allowing our Controller to focus more fully on strategic initiatives and long-term growth. Youll also play a key role in shaping new processes as we modernize our systems and expand our teams capabilities.

What You Will Do

Support and gradually take ownership of daily accounting operations including journal entries reconciliations and month-end close activities.
Assist with accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll functions as needed.
Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
Reconcile bank credit card and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
Prepare and distribute monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
Support ERP system implementation including testing data migration and process documentation.
Develop and streamline accounting policies procedures and internal controls.
Prepare supporting schedules for audits tax filings and external reporting.
Collaborate with the Controller to analyze financial data and provide insights.
Partner cross-functionally to align accounting processes with operational needs
Help build financial literacy across the organization by preparing clear reports/dashboards and supporting managers understanding of financial impacts.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

Staff Accountant (2-5 years of experience):

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
Hands-on experience with financial reporting and month-end close processes.
Proficiency with accounting software; ERP exposure a plus.
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
High attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Staff Accountant (5-7 years of experience):

All of the above plus:
- Demonstrated technical depth in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proven experience owning close processes and reporting in a multi-entity environment.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation and process improvements.
- Ability to independently identify issues improve processes and provide financial insights to leadership.

The final job title for this position - Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant - will be determined based on the selected candidates experience skillset and qualifications. MNL offers two pay ranges for this role aligned with each title:

Staff Accountant: $65000-$77000
Senior Staff Accountant: $79000-$96000
