Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing psychological services to students families and school staff addressing academic behavioral social and emotional concerns to support students overall well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students cognitive academic social emotional and behavioral functioning.
- Interpret assessment results and collaborate with teachers parents and other stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate interventions and support plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing issues such as anxiety depression behavioral problems and social skills deficits.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create and implement programs and interventions to promote positive behavior support social-emotional learning and mental health awareness.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) providing support and guidance to school teams.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with challenging behaviors.
- Serve as a resource to school staff providing consultation training and support on topics related to psychological assessment intervention and behavior management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results counseling sessions progress reports and other relevant information.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).
- Previous experience working as an LSSP in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of assessment tools psychoeducational testing and intervention strategies relevant to children and adolescents.
- Strong understanding of special education laws regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students families school staff and external agencies.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
- Experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred).
