Position Summary
The Food Point of Sale (POS) Manager is responsible for overseeing all point-of-sale (POS) operations at food and beverage outlets during the music festival. This role ensures accurate and efficient sales transactions supports concession staff troubleshoots technical issues and delivers timely sales reporting. The Food POS Manager plays a critical role in maintaining smooth food service operations and maximizing guest satisfaction.
This is a seasonal role from September 9 2025 and will end on January 9 2026.
This role pays an daily rate of $700.00
This position will remain open until January 9 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan set up and configure POS systems for all food and beverage outlets prior to the festival.
- Train concession supervisors cashiers and staff on POS use transaction handling and cash policies.
- Monitor POS system performance and live sales data throughout the event.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on-site and coordinate with IT or vendors when needed.
- Work with Finance to ensure accurate sales reporting reconciliation and cash management.
- Maintain inventory of POS devices (terminals tablets printers card readers and accessories).
- Enforce transaction security compliance standards and proper cash-handling procedures.
- Provide on-the-ground support to food outlet supervisors and staff to reduce downtime.
- Generate daily and end-of-event reports for management and finance teams.
- Collaborate with festival management to improve service speed and reduce guest wait times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing POS systems in food and beverage concessions or festival/event settings.
- Strong technical knowledge of POS platforms (e.g. Toast Square Clover NCR Micros).
- Ability to lead train and support large concession teams in high-volume environments.
- Strong cash-handling reconciliation and reporting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible to work long shifts outdoors including evenings weekends and holidays.
- Prior experience in large-scale event stadium or festival food service operations strongly preferred.
