Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Employee Development Specialist Program Analytics Support to support the St. Louis Production Systems Team (PST) in Berkeley MO.

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing world-class learning strategies and initiatives grounded in performance needs evaluation for the St. Louis Assembly Mechanic Apprenticeship. This role is vital in assessing deploying and enhancing our training programs to ensure they meet the business needs of Boeings production system. The position requires learning partnership integration a solid understanding of strategic requirements for enterprise manufacturing learning and close familiarity with the structure of the manufacturing learning system.

This role is highly influential which empowers Learning and Development along with PST partners to support the skill development necessary for our production team members to become global industrial leaders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead all performance-based objectives for the St. Louis Assembly Mechanic Apprenticeship
  • Manage and/or support enterprise wide or complex large-scale learning initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies based on evaluation findings to optimize the production training system.
  • Facilitate communication between various functions to ensure a cohesive approach to training and development initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of current learning strategies and performance needs within the production training system taking into account their impact on the production system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training and performance gaps providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of implemented strategies making adjustments as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Prepare an evaluation reports detailing the findings recommendations and potential impact of addressing performance issues
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in learning and performance evaluation to guide strategy development.
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports on training program effectiveness and strategies along with recommendations for leadership.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3 years of experience in formal evaluation or needs assessment
  • 3 years of experience in program / project management
  • 3 years of experience in a production or production learning environment with an understanding of technical skill and training requirements
  • 3 years of experience in employee learning and development roles
  • 3 years of experience with improvement projects using critical thinking problem solving innovation and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience leading an Apprenticeship program

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Proven experience in learning strategy development and performance needs evaluation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with adult-learning training methodologies used in production environments
  • High business acumen
  • Capable of process and value stream mapping
  • Able to utilize solution neutral approach to ascertain effective solution set
  • Extensive knowledge of the Boeing Production System
  • Experience developing strategies to meet organization business requirements
  • Experience in strategic integration roles in aerospace or training industry

Additional Information:

  • This position requires travel up to 25% of the time between the Apprenticeship facility and the Berkeley site
