We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team based in Thornton NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team in a large fully equipped workshop.
Casual Fitters Immediate Start
- Workshop-based project role in Thornton
- Project Work for 6 weeks
- Hourly Rate: $52.71 super
- Immediate start (subject to passing pre-employment medical)
Work Hours:
- 12 hour days
- 6 days a week
- 6 week project
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years workshop and/or site experience
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with light vehicles excavation equipment hydraulics and OEM gear
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
- Must be locally based in the Newcastle/Hunter Region
About you:
- Mechanically minded with a can-do attitude.
- Locally based.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills.
- 2 years workshop and or site experience.
- A can-do attitude with the drive to succeed
- Willing to travel for short-term projects when required
