Job Purpose Statement:
Regional Technology Specialists are responsible for troubleshooting and solving issues with both hardware and software providing technical support to users basic networking issues and setting up or removing computers from the network. Other areas of responsibility include: printer telephone and helpdesk support.
Job Qualifications: Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or other post-secondary education and/or training preferred.
- Minimum of one year professional experience with workstation related support and the skills required to perform the core job functions.

Licenses Certifications Bonding and/or Testing Required:
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
- Valid Drivers License and evidence of insurability

Essential Job Functions:
- Provide qualified technical support on an ongoing basis.
- Installs modifies and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems
- Assist in maintaining basic internet access and workstation connectivity.
- Install maintain repair and upgrade desktop computers in schools and at the CGESD. May include assisting with workstation setup loading applications or system software and peripheral equipment support.
- Assist in implementing regional/district technology vision plans and goals.
- Participate in select technical training workshops to continue improving skills.
- Test repaired systems to ensure operational quality before placement.
- Train customers in the general use and capabilities of their workstation and peripheral devices.
- Assist with mobile device management (tablets laptops Chromebooks).
- Assist in maintaining websites through the use of content management systems.
- Provide back-up support to other positions in case of absence or work overflow.
- Use multiple resources (i.e. technical books and manuals web sources etc) to resolve problems.
- Attend department and other staff meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the agency.
