Job Summary

Job Description

Duties:

• Assist various engineers in testing of electric motors including acoustic and vibration tests electrical tests and mechanical tests.
• Prepare motors motor applications test fixtures and sensors for testing.
• Troubleshoot motor test-related issues disassembly of parts for modifications re-assembly of parts.
• Design and modification of test fixtures.
• Prepare and ship parts to customers or intra-company.
• Basic coding: data analysis manipulation and post-processing.
• Report writing graphing of data and interpreting results for engineers review.
• Use lab tools and measurement equipment to determine electrical and mechanical motor properties.
• Familiarity/experience in safely using hand and power tools (drills band saw etc.).
• 30 hours per week January 2026 start date.

Education/Skills/Experience:

• Planned B.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical circuit theory.
• Preferred but not required to have knowledge of acoustics digital signal processing Fourier Analysis or modal analysis.
• Professionalism and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivation.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Organization with attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic experience with MS Excel Word and PowerPoint is required. MATLAB or ANSYS (preferred).
