Optical Lab Manufacturing- Dayshift

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City United States.  As a Manufacturing Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes and maintaining high-quality standards.

• Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Perform quality control checks and inspections throughout the production process
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment
• Maintain accurate records of production data quality metrics and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet targets
• Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
• Clean and maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a safe and organized workspace
• Adhere to all company policies procedures and quality standards

• What Youll Do:
  As an Optical Manufacturing Associate youll play an integral role in our production team. Based on department needs your duties may include tasks such as:

• Bench/Mounters: Inserting lenses into frames edging beveling tinting and ensuring lenses meet correct power axis and prism standards.
• Inspection: Checking frames and lenses for cosmetic and optical defects using ANSI standards.
• Surface: Using state of the art CNC optical machinery. Handling lens surface processes like taping blocking generating coating and polishing.
• AR Department: Operating state of the art Anti Reflective Coating Machinery sorting and inspecting lenses and ensuring they meet quality standards.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
• Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as required
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
