Job Description

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Facilities Management

Job Title: Working PERA Retiree Electronic Specialist II

Position #: Requisition #37827:

This position is internal to University of Colorado PERA retirees

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure the availability and distribution of electrical power to the UCD campuses for use by but not limited to the following systems: Energy Management (EMCS) lighting power for telecommunications computer network and a multitude of other power applications including being responsible for the computerized Power Management Control System (PMCS).

Inspects repairs and performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems. Responds to emergencies pertaining to power electrical and fire alarm systems.

Position works with High Voltage switching maintenance and repair. This includes not only the campus electrical system but also the main campus substation and Research 1 and Research2.

Responsible for the computerized PMCS to ensure that the emergency power is provided when an outage occurs. This system is critical to the entire UCD mission and especially the research areas.

Work Location:

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite at Anschutz Medical Campus Aurora CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Journeyman electrical license with experience in medium voltage switching and relay operations

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Experienced in the following medium voltage items-relay testing breaker testing verify relays and logic is working correctly

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$46.13 an hour

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
