We are seeking Bengali Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Bengali is one of the most frequently requested South Asian languages essential for immigration and asylum cases.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Bengali English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
Interpret in immigration legal and administrative contexts with professionalism impartiality and confidentiality.
Follow USCIS/DHS compliance standards and interpreter ethics.
Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent/surge calls.
Participate in training sessions compliance refreshers and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Bengali and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal government or medical preferred).
Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
Excellent verbal communication and cultural competency.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
