We are seeking Bengali Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Bengali is one of the most frequently requested South Asian languages essential for immigration and asylum cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time Bengali English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
- Interpret in immigration legal and administrative contexts with professionalism impartiality and confidentiality.
- Follow USCIS/DHS compliance standards and interpreter ethics.
- Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent/surge calls.
- Participate in training sessions compliance refreshers and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Bengali and English.
- 2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal government or medical preferred).
- Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent verbal communication and cultural competency.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
