Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing critical support for financial decision-making. The Senior Accountant will manage and analyze financial data oversee reporting processes and contribute to the organization s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general cost accounting and related financial management tasks.
Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets and income statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage coding of invoices account setup account reconciliations and monthly book closings.
Reconcile bank accounts monthly verify deposits and respond to inquiries from financial institutions.
Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable collections and customer account management.
Ensure timely accurate payments and proper allocation of charges to accounts.
Provide documentation and account details for external audits as needed.
Maintain and monitor purchasing and invoicing systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Update customer records with changes to names addresses and organizational details.
Research and resolve discrepancies and past-due accounts in collaboration with the Controller.
Assist with reconciliations and preparation of monthly billing statements.
Support the Controller in monthly revenue account reconciliation.
Copy file and retrieve financial records and reports as required.
Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by coordinating with sales trade promotions customer service and customers.
Communicate relevant financial information and updates to appropriate stakeholders.
Stay current with accepted accounting principles practices and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Solid knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles.
Proficient understanding of GAAP and ability to ensure compliance.
Skilled in preparing tax reports financial statements and reconciliations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or a related field (required).
At least five years of relevant accounting experience (required).
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Familiarity with Infor Visual ERP software (preferred).
