Overview
- Serve as the Risk Manager and Patient Safety Officer for the hospital
- Oversee compliance with national patient safety and corporate standards (JCAHO OSHA internal policies)
- Lead quality improvement initiatives audits staffing decisions and departmental planning
- Monitor clinical performance and investigate patient grievances
- Document quality issues and ensure response mechanisms are in place
- Lead or participate in key committees (e.g. Ethics Quality Review)
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff leadership and compliance teams
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina or multistate RN license (REQUIRED)
- Bachelors degree in nursing or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in risk management patient safety or claims investigation
- Strong public speaking and communication skills
- Calm composed demeanor in high-stress settings
- Familiarity with JCAHO and OSHA compliance preferred
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
- Background in healthcare-related sales a plus
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
