Salary Range Based on Experience $118250.00-$137500.00
Exceptional resident care begins with exceptional leadership. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join a team at in Waterloo NY. The DON will lead and inspire our nursing team ensuring high-quality care compliance and a supportive environment for both staff and residents.
Position Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for ensuring that personal and group performance aligns with the principles of a Healing Environment. This includes designing and implementing systems for effective work allocation communication resource management and staff development. The DON fosters engagement through clear expectations critical thinking and supportive leadership while maintaining compliance with long-term care regulations and organizational standards.

Education
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing or related field
License/Certifications
Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
Experience
Minimum: Three to five years of managerial experience
Minimum: Three to five years of experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting
Preferred: Broad knowledge base of LTC regulations
Other Qualifications
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff department leaders and the public in a professional courteous manner
Ability to remain effective under stress and handle confidential information with discretion
Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster staff empowerment accountability and growth

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated
Tasks may involve potential contact with blood body fluids or tissues
