We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (PM3) to join our team. This role will involve supporting a high-priority multi-year IT project. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT project management portfolio management tools stakeholder communication vendor coordination and formal project delivery methodologies.

Job Title: Senior Project Manager (PM3)

Location: Lansing MI (Hybrid 2 days on-site 3 days remote)

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

Utilize the State of Michigans Project Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity) to prepare project schedules assign resources and manage budgets.
Prepare presentations for executives managers and project team members.
Monitor control and communicate project progress by managing cost schedule scope resources quality and risks.
Ensure clear timely and accurate communication with sponsors stakeholders and management.
Provide leadership and foster collaboration between technical and business teams to build consensus.
Develop and maintain project deliverables including Project Charter Project Schedule Project Budget Communication Plan Status Reports Risk/Issue Logs Change Requests and Project Closeout Summary.
Manage interfaces and communication across multiple agencies and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and standards throughout all phases.
Facilitate and enforce the Change Management process for deviations in scope schedule or budget.
Create Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for projects in yellow or red status.
Review vendor contracts and manage vendor deliverables to ensure compliance.
Facilitate stakeholder interactions clarify expectations and track deliverable completion.

Qualifications:

7 years of IT project management experience including industry best practices.
Proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong experience with budgets schedules change requests risk and issue logs.
7 years of experience preparing and delivering project status reports.
5 years of experience using portfolio/project management tools (e.g. Clarity).
5 years of advanced MS Project experience.
5 years managing diverse stakeholders and system owners.
5 years managing IT projects involving COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) solutions.
5 years managing multi-vendor environments in government settings.
PMP Certification (Highly Desired).
