Technical Plant Supervisor - PS092425

Salary: $90000 - 120000 base Benefits

Location: Near Pelham AL

Schedule: Full-time / First shift

We have an injection molding company near the Pelham AL region that is in need of a Plant Supervisor to lead their manufacturing operations. The plant supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of operators ensuring production targets are met maintaining quality standards and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

Actively supervise a team of injection molding machine operators. Provide guidance support and coaching to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of molded parts and address any deviations from quality requirements.
Oversee maintenance activities for injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule preventive maintenance and address equipment breakdowns promptly.
Monitor raw material inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels.
Identify opportunities for process optimization cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Implement lean manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
Prepare production reports performance metrics and other relevant documentation as required by management.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing or related field is preferred.
At least 6 years of experience in injection molding operations with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes equipment and materials.
Ability to lift 50 lbs stand for long durations of time and perform other physical tasks as required.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environments.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime if needed.
