Role: Electrical Engineer-Signal Processing & Analog Circuits
Location: Cupertino CA (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time Permanent
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in signal processing analog circuits and network analysis to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical engineering particularly in analyzing and designing signal systems and circuits.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of electrical engineering principles including signal and systems theory to design analyze and optimize electronic circuits and systems.
Utilize concepts of the Z-domain and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) to analyze and process signals effectively.
Develop test and troubleshoot analog circuits understanding the characteristics and behavior of analog signals beyond binary values.
Design and analyze filters including band-pass filters understanding their components and functions.
Perform network analysis to evaluate system parameters such as current voltage and power and interpret results accurately.
Operate and interpret data from advanced equipment such as network analyzers understanding key parameters like S21.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and testing phases.
Document design processes test procedures and technical findings clearly and thoroughly.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Strong coursework and practical experience in electrical engineering subjects including signal processing analog and digital circuits and systems analysis.
Solid understanding of analog signal characteristics and waveform representation (e.g. sine waves).
Familiarity with filter design and components used in band-pass filters.
Experience with network analysis tools and techniques including understanding parameters like S21 and their significance.
Ability to perform power calculations from voltage and current measurements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with advanced measurement equipment including high-end network analyzers.
Knowledge of practical applications and trade-offs between different testing instruments.
Familiarity with both theoretical and applied aspects of signal processing in the Z-domain.
