The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) IT Director leads the strategic direction and focus developing short and long-term strategies for core CVM technology resources to enhance and deliver educational and administrative functions of the CVM. This position will manage the delivery of comprehensive technology support services and operations including supervision of user and classroom support software and CVM software engineering efforts. Additional responsibilities including managing expenditures budget and licensing. Serves as a technical resource for software/hardware acquisition. The IT Director implements manages and maintains the CVMs IT infrastructure ensuring effective resource utilization system reliability and security. Responds to critical failures 24/7. Engages in a program of continuous learning. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to enhancing the technological capabilities of the CVM and OSU as a whole.
Information Technology or related field.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)IT or related field
CISSP VMware Windows
Strong background in information technology and its use in a professional or academic environment. Knowledge of IT solution design and development technologies techniques and best practices. Ability to lead and manage a team. Proficient in project management processes and practices. Ability to manage outside vendors and subcontractors.
