High School Diploma or GED
A completed 2 year diploma in Engineering technology or similar vocational training in engineering systems or railway engineering OR Bachelors degree in Engineering with a focus in civil electrical or systems engineering or in a related field.
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience delivering projects to completion including managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
Experience with the testing and commissioning of LRT projects and managing large complex contracts P3 and/or Design/Build Projects
Transit and/or LRT operations experience
Additional certification and/or training in project management financial management or public administration
Demonstrated ability to model the corporate Cultural Commitments and work within an integrated business model
Embracing a culture of equity diversity reconciliation and inclusion
Ability to build collaborative partnerships and relationships with a wide range of collaborators and community partners including external agencies government and the business community
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze complex technical information and effectively communicate it to non-technical audiences including Council and senior leadership

Valid Alberta Class 5 drivers licence (or provincial equivalent)
You will be required to arrange your own transportation for use while on City business. Where appropriate you will be reimbursed for expenses related to that travel in accordance with City of Edmonton policy. You will be required to obtain business auto insurance
Compliance with the City of Edmontons safety standards for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a requirement for this position
You will be working with and around equipment and may be exposed to occasional noise
The position requires frequent walking standing and climbing stairs

Integrated Infrastructure Services is seeking a Transition Manager to be a pivotal part of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Expansion and Renewal team.
In this role you will be accountable for developing implementing and managing the transition of major LRT projects from the design and construction phase to operations and maintenance. Your initial focus will be on the commissioning and start-up of the Valley Line West LRT a Design-Build project with service scheduled to begin as early as December 2028. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a critical phase of a project that will have a lasting impact on our city and the way people move.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Transition Roadmap and Strategy for the handover of LRT assets from construction to operations and maintenance
Oversee the testing and commissioning phase of LRT projects ensuring all systems and sub-systems are fully integrated and functioning before passenger service begins
Lead and manage relationships with the Design-Build Contractor and various City departments to ensure seamless project delivery
Serve as a key point of contact for project reporting and issues management coordinating with internal business partners and external parties to resolve complex issues
Establish and enforce Project Agreement requirements ensuring compliance and managing deficiencies
