A well-established business based in Birstall is looking to recruit a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent full-time basis. Offering a salary of 24000 to 28000 (depending on experience) this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 12-18 months finance experience whos eager to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Reporting to the Finance Manager youll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of finance tasks with the chance to build up valuable knowledge in payroll as you progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
- Processing expenses and supporting with company card transactions
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting activities
- Posting and processing entries across ledgers
- Helping the finance team with admin tasks and ad hoc duties
- Learning and gaining exposure to payroll as part of your development
What were looking for:
- Experience in a finance-related role (e.g. Accounts Assistant Finance Admin Purchase/Sales Ledger)
- Good IT and Excel skills
- An organised accurate approach and the ability to work to deadlines
- A proactive attitude with strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
Based in Birstall the role is easily commutable from Leeds Bradford Wakefield Dewsbury Morley and Batley. Free on-site parking is available and the office is well-served by public transport.
