Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) In this role you will play a crucial part in providing urgent care services to patients. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions promptly and efficiently. As a Locum NP or PA in urgent care you will be an essential member of our healthcare team ensuring that patients receive high-quality and timely medical care. Your role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals performing medical procedures prescribing medications and educating patients on preventive healthcare measures. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you can enhance your clinical skills while contributing to the overall success of our urgent care facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and examinations
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute illnesses and injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Perform minor surgical procedures such as wound suturing and incision and drainage
- Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Demonstrated experience in urgent care or emergency medicine
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-8p) or Saturday/Sunday (8a-7p)
Patient Population: Aged 3 months
EMR: Practice Velocity
Must be board-certified
