What Youll Be Doing

As a Risk Analyst you will contribute to the profitable growth of personal lending portfolios by performing the activities that supports business growth. This includes creating and maintaining datasets performance monitoring and identifying data related opportunities for tuning rules and models. The role will support the data infrastructure development and amalgamation of data for the purposes of driving strategic analytical Risk Analyst will use statistical software such as Python Databricks Spark SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Enterprise Miner as well as other modeling and visualization software to support the entire model life cycle including development monitoring and recalibration within Fraud AML and Retail Credit Risk.

Important Information

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible however you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role. Specialization in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics Statistics Computer Science Finance Economics major or similar is strongly preferred.

Who You Are

  • You are a university student in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics Statistics Computer Science Finance Economics major or similar.

  • You possess expertise in data analytics with a strong foundation in statistics and mathematics complemented by advanced skills in relational databases such as SQL. Proficiency in statistical software including Python Spark Databricks and SAS is highly desirable as is an understanding of consumer credit. With appropriate guidance you are capable of evaluating complex data relationships developing fact-based reports and presentations based on your analysis and generating insights to recommend effective solutions to identified problems.
