Cloud Engineer

Leidos Intelligence Group is seeking a highly technical Cloud Engineer to support an enterprise IT work is being done to replace an end of life solution with a new solution using new and innovative technology. This exciting work is being done in fast paced environment using new and innovative technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

This candidate designs develops tests integrates and deploys solutions for critical requirements. The current solution is at the end of life stage therefore new solutions need to be developed and incorporated; new and innovative technologies utilized to successfully meet the user requirements. The goal of the Sponsor is to design and deliver an enterprise-level system with a modular segmented architecture that can support both large scale and small scale solutions in order to meet the requirements across a broad range of applicable use order to support the technical requirements the Sponsor requires Information Technology (IT) activities to achieve the goal of designing developing testing integrating and deploying the solutions.
The Cloud Engineer will configure cloud based network instances in a variety of environments to include Microsoft AWS Google IBM and Oracle; configure applications for flexible deployment; provision cloud-based applications; and design and manage network specific cloud instances. They will also prepare and deliver program and user level documentation; interact with members of the technical team leads; to understand the current system subsystems and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development; and communicate and share expertise within and across the Sponsors organizational boundaries working both independently and in small groups.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires a TS/SCI with poly

• Requires a Bachelors degree and at least 18 years of experience OR a Masters with 15 20 years of prior relevant experience

• Demonstrated experience using programs such as Java JavaScript Python.

• Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture and design concepts that translate directly to ability to modify cloud architectures to meet Sponsors requirements.

• Demonstrated experience independently designing and implementing medium to large-sized cloud architecture.

• Demonstrated experience communicating the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience solving technical problems.

Preferred Qualifications: Certification Requirements:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

• Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge

• Cisco CCNA-Cloud

• Microsoft Cloud Certifications
