DescriptionPrivate Equity & Real Estate Services (PERES) was launched in November of 2005 through the commercialization of the finance and technology team supporting J.P. Morgans various private equity and real estate entities. The line of business has over 200 dedicated finance and technology professionals with offices in New York Chicago San Francisco Dallas Sydney London and Jersey (CI). The team provides administration services to more than 100 clients with $200 BN exposure to alternative assets.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries performance reporting and portfolio accounting.
- Perform daily monthly quarterly and annual accounting functions as assigned
- Ownership and accountability for timely and accurate resolution of cash and securities reconciliation breaks
- Monitor status of aged and significantly sized breaks to ensure timely and accurate resolution
- Identify fund issues and escalate to Manager on a timely basis
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Up to 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience using accounting applications a plus
- High level of proficiency in Excel
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Must be extremely organized able to multitask and work in tight time frames
- Must be motivated and innovative and willing to explore new ways to enhance a process
- Must be a self-starter proactive and possess strong organizational skills
- Must be highly organized detail and control oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
