Job Description

Midland University a small private liberal arts school in Fremont NE is seeking an Academic Affairs Administrative Coordinator who thrives in a collaborative fast-moving environment and wants to play a key role in supporting faculty students and campus-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Be the go-to resource for Academic Affairs

  • Provide direct administrative support to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO); assist directors and deans as needed.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for faculty students staff and other stakeholders seeking help or information.
  • Maintain a current and accurate repository of academic policies forms and resources.
  • Manage travel arrangements schedules and budget lines for Academic Affairs staff and job candidates.
  • Oversee communication with the online bookstore.

Lead and coordinate signature events

  • Chair planning committees and bring events like Commencement Student Awards and New Faculty Orientation to life.
  • Coordinate logistics-food space set-up and schedules-for faculty and Academic Affairs events.

Support faculty hiring and onboarding

  • Partner with HR to create and maintain faculty files.
  • Collaborate with deans and the Chief Academic Officer to write and process adjunct contracts.
  • Communicate with job candidates and help them navigate the hiring process.
  • Track Academic Affairs employees in HR systems to keep records up to date.

Collaborate with the Registrars Office

  • Work closely with deans to build and update term schedules assign classrooms and maintain course details in Anthology.
  • Support transcript review and other cyclical academic processes.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.

Compensation:

Wages will be commensurate with education experience and individual strengths.
