Midland University a small private liberal arts school in Fremont NE is seeking an Academic Affairs Administrative Coordinator who thrives in a collaborative fast-moving environment and wants to play a key role in supporting faculty students and campus-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Be the go-to resource for Academic Affairs
- Provide direct administrative support to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO); assist directors and deans as needed.
- Serve as the first point of contact for faculty students staff and other stakeholders seeking help or information.
- Maintain a current and accurate repository of academic policies forms and resources.
- Manage travel arrangements schedules and budget lines for Academic Affairs staff and job candidates.
- Oversee communication with the online bookstore.
Lead and coordinate signature events
- Chair planning committees and bring events like Commencement Student Awards and New Faculty Orientation to life.
- Coordinate logistics-food space set-up and schedules-for faculty and Academic Affairs events.
Support faculty hiring and onboarding
- Partner with HR to create and maintain faculty files.
- Collaborate with deans and the Chief Academic Officer to write and process adjunct contracts.
- Communicate with job candidates and help them navigate the hiring process.
- Track Academic Affairs employees in HR systems to keep records up to date.
Collaborate with the Registrars Office
- Work closely with deans to build and update term schedules assign classrooms and maintain course details in Anthology.
- Support transcript review and other cyclical academic processes.
