Job Description

Human Resources Coordinator

Full Time - Ongoing

MacKillop Catholic College are looking for a passionate self-driven Human Resources Coordinator to lead recruitment onboarding and general Human Resource functions. This role will have a strong focus on creating a positive culture and employee experience.

As the Human Resources Coordinator you will:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment of MacKillop Catholic College staff.
  • Assist in improving HR systems and processes through a partnership model with the Catholic Education Tasmania People Services team.
  • Coordinate and implement various culture and wellbeing events and activities to improve employee experience and engagement.
  • Facilitate the employee onboarding and offboarding process conducting general inductions training sessions for new employees and exit interviews.
  • Build trust and good working relationships with all stakeholders and communicate effectively and sensitively particularly in relation to the handling of confidential information or sensitive staffing matters.
  • Correctly interpret and apply the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement and other relevant employment and workers compensation legislation.
  • Mentor support and roster school office Administration Staff to ensure this function of the College operates efficiently and effectively.

Some of the skills and experiences we are looking for are:

  • Strong previous experience in the Human Resources sector with an awareness of all generalist HR functions.
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills including the ability to sensitively deal with complex situations and confidential matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and good organisation skills including the ability to prioritise workloads and meet competing deadlines.
  • Experience in end-to-end recruitment processes including on and offboarding employees.
