| Job Description: | Service clean or supply restrooms; Clean building floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming; Gather and empty trash; Clean windows glass partitions or mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges or squeegees; Dust furniture walls machines or equipment; Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; Clear debris from classrooms walkways sidewalks and entrances; Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment; Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications; Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures; Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems; Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties; Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors/setting alarms locking/unlocking gates of facility after operating hours or checking to ensure that hazards are not created; Assist as needed in delivery of shipments throughout campus; Monitor clean and supply assigned work stations including janitorial closets. Complete minor facility requests processed through Spiceworks ticket system including but not limited to light bulb changes and pest control/removal; Minor groundwork to include debris/trash collection blowing surfaces gate clearance and pressure washing. Strip seal finish and polish floors; Steam clean or shampoo carpets; Move furniture equipment or supplies either manually or by using hand trucks Set up arrange or remove decorations tables chairs ladders or scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets or meetings; Drive vans industrial trucks or other vehicles required to travel to or to perform facility needs. Have and use the ability to operate/maintain facility tools and equipment as needed. |

| Minimum Requirements: | Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience. Level 2 background check required. This position is open to current UF employees only. |

| Special Instructions to Applicants: | Will be required to flex hours on a rotation schedule to cover facility after hour events including UF holidays when work is deemed necessary for the facility.
