Job Summary
The Development Manager will be responsible for retail store projects in the Americas and will report to the Development Lead.
- 12 years of construction/project management experience with a demonstrated focus in delivering outstanding retail stores or workplaces.
- Experience in large developments such as retail store expansions campuses museums / galleries and multi-tenant buildings or centers.
- Strong background in commercial construction to include mechanical electrical plumbing and building systems tenant improvements with bespoke architectural finishes site work and ground-up construction.
- Minimum 50% travel required.
- Expertise in the planning scheduling budgeting resourcing and executing of all technical services required to maintain and improve a large real estate portfolio.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to balance priorities and meet deadlines as required to meet project schedule.
- Ability to balance the trade-offs between operational risk and investment constantly seeking the highest quality and design at the best value.
- Excellent leadership communication presentation skills (Keynote) and interpersonal skills as well as supervisory skills; including experience working with all levels of an organization and ability to handle customer service issues involving employees in a professional and positive manner.
- Ability to develop cost estimates cash flows schedules and analyze Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Whole Life Cycle costs.
- Ability to diagnose manage and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently including experience prioritizing and assigning repairs.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with facility operation teams utility companies government agencies architectural & design firms and general contracting firms.
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Engineering or Architecture preferred.
