Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer in Places Technology Services you will provide your technical expertise through hands-on development to ensure that the applications we build are set up for long-term success.
- Solid experience in a DevOps or related role such as Linus Administrator or Software Engineer
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Proficiency with a major cloud platform (AWS Azure Google Compute Platform).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI CircleCI etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK stack etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform CloudFormation etc.).
- Strong scripting skills (Python Bash etc.)
- Understanding of networking and security best practices.
- Experience with Linux systems administration.
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Azure DevOps Engineer Expert RHCSA).
- Experience with Pulumi Tekton OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of SDLC and Git branching strategies.
- Experience deploying applications built with Python PHP Go Vite .
- Experience implementing API authentication (OIDC HMAC).
- Understanding of distributed systems queues microservice architecture and common disaster recovery patterns (Active-Active Active-Standby).
