Job Summary

This rolereportsdirectly to theDirector of Trust Administrationand willprovide leadershipsupervisioncoaching andlong-termtraining for ateamoftrustprofessionalsacross assigned regions or marketswithin the Private Wealth Management organization.TheManagerwill supervise and provideleadershipin connection with thefiduciary administrationofall aspectsof accounts including probate estates conservatorships personal trusts (intervivosand testamentary) custody agency IRA and other assigned accounts.

How you will spend your time:

  • Oversee a team of Trust Advisors
  • Define measure and report on team key performance indicators
  • Manage to a learning and development program to ensure all trust advisors adopt industry best practices and are kept abreast of changing regulations and laws
  • Manage the workload of trust advisor associates performing regular capacity planning studies and assigning resources to meet demand
  • Manage associate performance across the team
  • Manage accounts as assigned
  • Designs and implements strategy to improve service delivery to clients
  • Provide solution-oriented planning forhigh net worthclients including: FLPs LLCs S-Corps C-Corps etc.; Coordination of wealth strategy planning (i.e. gift estate and income tax retirement planning investment planning insurance charitable gifting asset protection planning etc.).
  • Develops relationships with professionals such as attorneys financial advisors and accountants that enhance business opportunities.
  • Ensures compliance with the Banks fiduciary duties in the administration of estate trustIRAand custody accounts according to the directives in the will trust document or investment managementIRAor custody agreement as well as applicable laws statutes regulations and UMB policies and procedures.
  • Maintains expertise in UMB policies and procedures state and federal laws and regulations as well as industry regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 10 years oflegal/fiduciaryexperience
  • Experience in management and supervisionofprofessionalstaff
  • Experience successfully leading and developing subject matter experts.
  • Demonstratesstrong knowledgeof state and federal laws and regulations related to financial industry and fiduciary services
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of Trust andFinancialservices (i.e. investments insurance brokerage private bankingfinancial planningretirement planning)
  • Demonstratesexcellentcommunication and presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates ability to work with clients and prospects of varied backgrounds and experiences
  • Demonstrates excellent ability to listen to customer concerns and then address concerns positivelytactfullyand diplomatically.
  • Demonstrates strong risk management analysis and skills

Bonus points if:

  • CTFA/CFP Professional Designation
  • JD Degree
  • Ability totranslate complex legal and trust issues into understandable terms
  • Ability to lead influence and partner with both internal and external team members
  • Ability to adapt to multiple demandsambiguityand rapidchange
  • Active participation on professional and community organizations
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

Compensation Range:

$99750.00 - $214370.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMBs standard for this role but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location experience level and other job-related addition this range does not encompass the full earning potential for this role.
