Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking a Threat Requirements Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures Program Office. In this role youll help shape the capabilities of target systems that are critical for testing and advancing U.S. missile defense technologies. Youll apply deep technical expertise to analyze adversary systems define requirements and ensure target systems meet the complex needs of flight testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physics- and engineering-based analysis of aerospace systems including propulsion aerodynamics navigation guidance and control.
- Develop recommendations on target configurations and emerging technologies to support missile defense system testing.
- Translate intelligence on ballistic and hypersonic threats into actionable requirements that guide target system development.
- Define and document flight test target and countermeasure requirements for government review and approval.
- Leverage expertise in countermeasure development to frame testing requirements and identify technology needs.
- Balance and reconcile conflicting requirements across MDA elements flight test communities and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with MDA Systems Engineering teams contractors and other government agencies to ensure integration and alignment.
- Review prime contractor data ensure requirements are properly levied and flowed down and verify compliance with program objectives.
Required Skills:
- Masters degree in a STEM field with 12 years supporting missile defense or large complex DoD programs.
- Strong understanding of MDA and/or DoD programs and processes.
- Experience interpreting and applying intelligence reports to engineering requirements.
- Proven ability to present to technical peers senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders.
- Expertise in developing engineering documentation requirements and system interface specifications.
- Skilled in problem-solving with engineering rigor and precision.
- Ability to work independently as part of a team or in a leadership capacity.
- Familiarity with configuration-controlled environments and proper handling of controlled information.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes.
- Experience with proposal development and evaluation.
- Background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Top Secret Clearance.
Travel: 10-20%
